Christmas Gift Appeal

Each Christmas over 200 patients will spend Christmas in one of Humber Teaching NHS Foundation Trust's inpatient mental health units or community wards.

Our Christmas Gift Appeal aims to make their stay in hospital a little brighter by giving them a gift to open on Christmas Day.

Anita Green, Health Stars manager, said: "Christmas can be a difficult time for many people, particularly those who are receiving treatment in hospital and are away from their usual support networks. For some, it can be a time when feelings of loneliness and isolation feel even more pronounced.

"A gift may seem like a small gesture, but it can help someone feel remembered and connected to their community. We're hoping the community will once again get behind the appeal and help us bring some festive cheer to patients this Christmas."

How to get involved

Because we know people like to donate in different ways, there are three ways to support the appeal.

Donate a Small Gift

A small item such as a pair of fluffy socks, a face mask, chocolates, or colouring pens or a puzzle book, could bring a smile to someone spending Christmas away from home.
