Spreading a little ‘Sparkle’ across the Trust
Here at Health Stars we love to add a little ‘sparkle’. This sparkle takes on many forms, each with the aim of enhancing environments and investing in additional resources, training, and research for the benefit of our patients, service users and staff.
Here’s a flavour of the sparkle we’ve been spreading in the last few weeks thanks to the support of fundraisers, grant funders and corporate partners:
Poster and poem competitions have been taking place in schools thanks to the Health Trainers team. We’ve supported by providing prizes including cinema passes with the support of corporate partners.
Stress-less bags were provided to the CAMHS Crisis Team to be used as distraction tools for new patients.
We’ve funded three hand-held heart rate monitors for GP surgeries which will help to reduce waiting times.
The Alfred Bean Health & Wellbeing Community Hub was supported with signage, notice boards, iPads and more, ready for it’s official opening.
Haven Allotment have benefitted from some lovely new fence paint.
The Humber Centre have had new utensils provided for their therapeutic kitchen to encourage independent living skills.
Outdoor benches have been provided for three GP surgeries.
Gifts in kind have been arriving in readiness for the new CAMHS in-patient unit including art supplies, toiletries, musical instruments and games.
All of this sparkle has been added via our Circle of Wishes process. Wishes can be submitted via the website by patients, their families and staff. If you’ve spotted a potential enhancement, be sure to let us know about it.
